As the new Graphic Designer for the men’s, women’s and children’s wear at Between the Flags, Kellie Wright is a very young successful businesswoman. She only graduated in 2005 from the Whitehouse Institute of Design and immediately after graduation she was offered a job at Between the Flags as an Office Manager. Only three months into working as an Office Manager, Kellie received a promotion to Graphic Designer.
During her studies at Whitehouse Institute of Design, Kellie was offered a work placement at R.M. Williams, as the assistant to Jonathan Ward. This opportunity really helped her combine both the practical and the theoretical aspects of her studies. Studying at Whitehouse, she really learned how to have good managerial skills next to the artistic skills, which are very important in the fashion industry.
Graduating in 2005 with a Graduate Diploma of Fashion Design and Textiles, Kellie looks back at her time at Whitehouse with good memories. She thinks it definitely prepared her for the real world of fashion, with the hard work, determination and the late nights working on finishing another project.
Living and working in Australia, Kellie likes looking at the latest European and American fashion trends, because she thinks Australia is still years behind in following the latest fashion trends there. She enjoys watching the development in the European and American markets for keeping the developments at Between the Flags up to date.
