The Fashion Design Specialisation focuses on innovative design with commercial design underpinnings. The course is industry facing and offers a wide range of fashion skills required to be successful in the fashion industry. The fashion design student builds their practical skills during the workshop unit starting with: a skirt in study period one, a full pant look in study period two, a two body story in study period three, a three body story in study period four, a three body story including menswear in study period five and a graduate runway collection in study period six. Each study period students realise their 2D design process into a garment prototype and present their garment/s to a panel. Our fashion design course provides a relevant, contemporary course that prepares students with theoretical, design and technical knowledge relevant the fashion industry.
