The Whitehouse Institute Libraries

The Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia is home to our specialist design libraries. The John Henry library in Sydney and the Melbourne Campus library together feature a growing digital collection and a physical collection of over 8000 items to support the scholarly and research needs of our students and staff.

The mission of the libraries is to promote student learning, ensure easy access to information resources, provide a full range of library and audiovisual services and provide trained professional staff to assist students in becoming independent learners. The libraries have been designed to ensure students have access to quiet study areas, as well as spaces that facilitate group projects.

The staff of the Whitehouse libraries are available to provide guidance, support and assistance to students, faculty and independent researchers exploring the collection. On this website you will find guides to the services provided by the libraries and descriptions of the collections.
