Creative Direction & Styling focuses on the creation of visual works through image, installation, events and digital media. Students work with challenging projects across a variety of commercial design fields. Students learn how to design and present projects which reflect contemporary ideals to target audiences and meet industry clients’ needs. Electives for Creative Direction develop skills to create projects in areas such as digital imaging, interior design, marketing and branding, design communications, editorial publication design, visual merchandising, food and lifestyle styling, fashion and beauty styling, social media/digital marketing campaign creation and events management.

Fashion Design
Fashion Design examines the relationship between clothing and the body in a range of contexts, and challenges students to create original and innovative garments and accessories. Fashion courses promote commercial ready-to-wear design, and develop design communication skills and illustration styles to support students’ understanding of the fashion industry, its networks and the business of fashion. Whitehouse fashion students research and develop business decision making processes which resonate with contemporary global and local ideals and issues.

Interior Design
Interior Design looks at the spatial interaction in commercial, residential and corporate environments. Students engage with research and creative decision making, knowledge of materials and processes through model making and computer aided design. Developing skills in socially responsible design and experimentation, students create a dynamic living, working and commercial spaces for a range of industry audiences and target markets. Interior students undertake furniture and lighting design, colour and lighting schemes, communication and business strategies whilst working with appropriate standards and regulation.
