MELBOURNE CAMPUS
The Melbourne campus sits on Bourke Street, in the CBD, a purpose-built design environment just metres from Southern Cross Station. Its rooftop terrace looks out over the city skyline, and inside it carries the same studio-based setup as every Whitehouse campus: ateliers, shoot and edit spaces, and rooms built for critique and review.
The campus is situated on Bourke Street, near the corner of Spencer Street, with art supply stores and design amenities within a few blocks. The rest of the CBD's cafés, galleries and laneways open up from there, a short walk in any direction.
Southern Cross Station is metres away, so most students are on campus within minutes of stepping off a train or tram. The city's design and retail districts, along with the studios and showrooms much of the industry runs from, are all within the central grid.

Southern Cross station is just across the road using the Spencer St/Bourke St exit.

The campus is within the free tram zone and Tram Route 86 and Tram Route 96 both stop outside the front door (Spencer St/Bourke St stop).

Whitehouse Melbourne doesn't operate its own student car park and public transport is recommended.
Southern Cross Station Car Park ($26 early bird) and other various parking buildings such as those operated by Wilson Parking are nearby. Rates can vary.
Rideshares such as Uber is common with drop off right in front of the building possible.
Melbourne is widely regarded as Australia's cultural capital, with a design and fashion scene that runs deep - Melbourne Fashion Week, Melbourne Fashion Festival, a dense calendar of exhibitions and launches, and a laneway culture of small studios, galleries and boutiques that reward getting out and exploring. For a design student, much of the industry is walkable from the CBD, and the city's cafés and creative spaces are part of the education as much as the studio is.
