Where you live will depend largely on your budget and preferences, there's no one-size-fits-all solution. Remember you can always begin with short-term accommodation so you've got the more urgent things sorted, then move to something longer-term when ready.

TEMPORARY STAYS
Starting with something short-term lets you settle in, view places in person, and get to know Sydney before signing a longer lease.
STUDENT ACCOMMODATION
Purpose-built for students, these residences offer furnished rooms, facilities, shared spaces and on-site support. A popular option but prices can vary despite being student-oriented.
PRIVATE RENTALS
A long-term option and another popular option. You can rent a place of your own or share with others, either through an agent or privately.
There are also many websites where people advertise that they are looking for roommates. Of course, ensure you do research on the website and the host.
HOMESTAYS
Homestay places you with a local family, an easy way to settle in if you're new to the country. Meals are usually included, and it's a supportive environment for practising your English day to day.

Sydney has an extensive public transport network, including trains, the metro, buses and light rail. Whitehouse's central location makes it easy to travel to and from and across the city and to surrounding suburbs.
The public transport network can be paid for using an Opal card or simply tapping your credit/debit card in place of the Opal card.
BY TRAIN
Redfern Station is a 5 minute walk from campus and one of the busiest stops on the network - it's the stop where students heading to Sydney University get off, so the platforms and surrounding streets see steady foot traffic well into the evening.
It's one stop from Central, with direct lines into the city, the Inner West and southern suburbs.
BY METRO/LIGHT RAIL
Central Station itself is also a walkable option, about 15 minutes on foot via Prince Alfred Park.
BY BUS
There are several bus stops close to campus located on Gibbons St (Redfern Station), Redfern St, Chamlers St and Cleveland St. Central Station is also a major stop for busses passing through.
BY CAR
Metered street parking is available in the area. Whitehouse Sydney doesn't operate its own student car park and public transport is recommended.
Rideshares such as Uber is common with drop off right infront of the building possible.
