Discover Your Future In Fashion And Design At Our Annual Open House

Every career in fashion and design begins somewhere.

Sometimes it's in the margins of a notebook. Maybe it's in the outfit that made you realise getting dressed could be a language. It could be the room where you first meet the people who see the world the way you do.

Open House is an invitation into that room.

Once a year, Whitehouse Institute of Design opens its studios, workshops and creative spaces across the country to anyone curious about a future in fashion, interiors or design. Rather than imagining what studying in these fields might be like, this is your chance to experience it firsthand.

Across Whitehouse's campuses in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, you'll find live workshops, creative demonstrations, student exhibitions and conversations unfolding in every corner. Oh, and did we mention there'll be an entire fashion runway? Lecturers share the thinking behind their practice, current students offer a glimpse into their everyday experience, and ideas move from sketchbooks to garments, mood boards to built spaces.

Whether you're considering Fashion Design, Interior Design or Creative Direction & Styling, Open House offers an honest look at the rhythm of creative education and the reality of the industry. The conversations are just as important as the demonstrations, and so are the people you'll meet.

The best design schools aren't simply places to learn technical skills. They're communities that challenge your perspective, encourage experimentation and surround you with people who push your ideas further than you thought possible.

That's difficult to explain online.

It's something you have to experience!
